The first time I came in touch with clay was in Brno, Czechia, when I was a student. The city center was full of cozy handcraft shops, where the local potters had been selling their work. I used to admire the creativity and fantasy of the artists and wished to know more about the process of creating shapes and forms out of clay. In that spirit, I took my first pottery class. From that day on, pottery and the hours that I could spend in the studio had become the highlights of my week. Expressing myself through working with clay had become a part of my life.
I opened my studio when I came to a crossroad in my life. At that point I had decided to let my heart guide me and do the things that give me joy.
Giving workshops is for me an endless possibility to get inspired and to interact. It gives me the chance to witness and guide the creative process of others and get surprising ideas out of it. I love that about teaching! Also the ideas of my students sometimes take me out of my comfort zone, which challenges me to keep reinventing myself. I teach my students to dare to make mistakes, as making mistakes and learning from them is what makes us grow as a person.
“Pottery is a lot like life and I learned about life because of pottery.”

My studio is open for workshops with groups of up to 4 people. As it is a home studio, it has a warm family atmosphere where everyone can feel at ease. If you wish to spend a creative afternoon with friends or celebrate a special birthday, you’re welcome to book our workshops as a group. A pot of freshly made tea or a strong cup of coffee is waiting for you.
These photos were taken in the beautiful gardens of Betondorp, Amsterdam. A special thanks to everyone, who took their time to put their love and attention into choosing sustainability and giving back to nature.
